Theory of change
We’re committed to continually improving our practice so we can support the organisations and individuals we fund to have a greater impact in their communities.
Between December 2022 and June 2023, we developed our theory of change (2022-2027). We co-created it with colleagues, young people, trustees, funded partners and the Co-op. We wanted to articulate more clearly what we will aim to achieve with our Future Communities Vision over the five years of our ‘Building communities of the future together’ strategy.
Our five-year impact statement for this theory of change is:
By 2027, young people and organisations have more power to build fairer and more co-operative communities
We will use our theory of change to track progress against achieving our outcomes and impact, reflect on our activities and improve our work.
Download our document below as a designed PDF or plain read PDF. You can also download our Theory of Change in Word. Within our documents, we set out:
- The internal and external context in which we are currently operating – both the challenges we face and the opportunities
- The outcomes we hope to see for our two primary impact groups – young people and funded partners
- Our view on how those changes may happen
- The activities and contribution we can make as a Foundation
- The major assumptions that underpin our proposed approach.
Thank you to our partners at NCVO for helping us to create our theory of change.
